In 2003 I wrote the following for quantum mind conference:
The objective world, as we know it, is our perception. Perception involves sense data and concepts. According to context, the emotional act of the brain/mind supplies concepts to sense data. Emotion brings forth a particular percept: Sense data + concepts (in the presence of emotion) ----> percept. The percept resides in our mind; it represents our knowledge of an object perceived in the objective world.
In quantum theory, the measurement process selects a particular observed state from all possible unobserved logical states (quantum superposed state). Similarly, in the process of perception, emotion selects a particular percept from sense data, which encompasses all logically possible percepts (sense-data). Emotion behaves akin to the quantum measurement process, bringing forth a particular percept from sense data [quantum state + measurement ----> particular classical state].
